Downgrading or Pausing an Ad Insertion
Downgrading an ad or pausing an ad helps the publisher show “Customer Love” and can help keep an advertiser in the magazine during a potential hardship or their slower revenue months. Downgrading or pausing keeps the clients happy and keeps them wanting to stay in the magazine.
Downgrading or pausing an ad insertion must be done internally by a National Support Specialist.
To request this in Arc:
- Click the “?” icon in the top right corner of the screen.
- In the beacon, select "Email" to submit a support request or "Chat" if a specialist is available.
When submitting your request, include all key details to ensure a smooth process:
- Account Name
- Insertion Size
- Insertion Cost
- Terms (month(s) and year for the insertion)
- Any other relevant information
Example: “Please downgrade Meierotto Jewelers’ ad for October and November 2024 from a ½ page horizontal ad to a ¼ page vertical ad. Please change the revenue to $700.00 for each insertion.” (If there is a revenue change.)
Example: “Please pause Meierotto Jewelers’ ad for October 2024 and add to the end of the contract.”
Per Policy: Pauses must be communicated through a ticket to the National Support team with a minimum of 20 days' notice before the ad deadline and only allotted 1 pause option every 12 months.
A support specialist will follow up if additional details are needed and when the insertion has been added to the contract.
