Repurposing a Previous Ad in the Customer Portal

Repurposing a past ad reinforces brand recognition and maintains consistency, strengthening the brand’s identity and familiarizing the audience with the messaging. Repurposing an ad is also a time-saving and cost-efficient option, helping clients meet deadlines and avoid the expense of creating a new design.

  1. In the customer portal, click on the Ads tab on the left-hand side.
  2. Click the gray plus sign under the month you want to run the previously run ad.
  3. Locate “Repurpose a Past Ad” from the available options.
  4. Choose the “Use Ad Is” button if you do not need any revisions or the “Make Changes” button if revisions are needed.
    1. Note: If the “Make Changes” button is greyed out, it means that design services have not been added to the contract. Reach out to the Publisher or your contact at the magazine if you would like to add design services.
    2. If choosing “Use As Is”:
      1. Select the previously approved ad (shown by the month it ran) that you intend to reuse.
      2. Click the green “Submit” button to proceed with using the ad as is.
    3. If choosing “Make Changes”:
      1. Select the previously approved ad (shown by the month it ran) that you intend to request changes to.
      2. Add any new images by scrolling to the “Add Images or Files for the Changes” section and clicking the “+ Add an Image” button.
      3. Add any requests, text, or information in the “Change Request Notes” text box.
      4. Once revisions have been added, click the green “Submit” button at the bottom of the revisions page to send the request to the production team for review.
  5. Both previously provided print-ready ads and City Lifestyle-created ads are shown in the ad selection screen. ARC cannot distinguish whether City Lifestyle created the ad you want to repurpose.
    1. If City Lifestyle's production team created the ad, they will complete the changes and post a proof for review.
    2. If the ad is submitted as a print-ready ad:
      1. It can only be used as is, with no revisions.
      2. The production team will leave a revision note indicating the ad was provided and that, to move forward, all materials to recreate the ad will need to be provided.
  6. The design team will send a proof for your review and approval, following any revision requests.
  7. You may approve the ad or request further changes, with up to 6 proofs available.
