How to Manually Increase Page Count

Publishers that are Silver tier and above have the ability to increase their page count by 4 or 8 pages prior to their editorial deadline in ARC.


  1. In ARC, click on the Editorial tab on the left hand side
  2. Access the Issues tab at the top of the page
  3. Select your magazine and the specific issue you would like to adjust the page count for from the drop down menus
  4. In the “Magazine Pages” box, click the green “Set Pages” button
  5. In the pop up window, switch your page count to Manually Set
    1. Keep in mind that you are responsible for any and all associated costs with any changes made
  6. Select your new page count from the drop down menu
    1. Page count can only be increased by 4 or 8 pages. If you attempt to increase your page count more than that 8 pages, you will receive an error message and ARC will not allow the change
  7. Click “Set Pages” to confirm the change
    1. You can only change your page count prior to your editorial deadline. If your editorial deadline has passed you will receive an error message and the change will not be made
  8. Back on the Issues tab, verify the page count change in the “Magazine Pages” box

Note: The ability to adjust your page count is only available for publications Silver tier and above. If you fall below the revenue threshold this function will not be available in ARC. Don't forget that you are financially responsible for any page count changes made.


How to Manually Increase Page Count in ARC

This guide will walk you through manually adjusting page counts in ARC for those who are Silver tier and higher.

Go to citylifestylehq.com

1. Click "Editorial"

In ARC, navigate to the Editorial tab on the left hand side.

2. Click "Issues"

Access the "Issues" tab
Click 'Issues'

3. Select Issue

Choose the specific month for page count adjustments
Select Issue

4. Click "Set Pages"

Select the option for setting pages
Click 'Set Pages'

5. Click "Manually Set"

In the pop up window, switch your page count change to manual versus automatic.

6. Additional Costs

Please note you are responsible for any additional costs associated with changing your page count.

Select your new page count from the drop down menu and click Set Pages to confirm.

8. Deadline Error Message

You can only change your page count prior to your editorial deadline. If your editorial deadline has passed you will receive an error message and the change will not be made.

You will also receive an error message if you attempt to increase your page count by more than 8 pages. Publishers that are Silver tier and above have the ability to increase their page count by 4 or 8 pages prior to their editorial deadline.

10. Verify Page Count Change

Once you have successfully increased your page count within your editorial deadline and by the correct amount, you will see this change on the Issues tab.

11. Silver Tier and Higher

A few things to keep in mind regarding adjusting your page count is that those who are below Silver tier will not have this ability. So if you fall below the revenue threshold this function will not be available in ARC. Don't forget that you are financially responsible for any page count changes made!
