Understanding the Social Media Ads Tab in Your Customer's Accounts - PUB POV
Publishers should explain the advertising reach dashboard in every client onboarding so the client knows where to find and review their advertising and social media results.
Perform quarterly to review results with the client(s) to discuss performance, answer questions to help understand the value and reach their advertising.
Review, Provide Feedback, and update the status of your Ad Proof.
- In ARC, navigate to the Reporting page on the left-hand side of the screen.
- Select the client you are working with under your Ads List report.
- Navigate to the Social Media Ads, under the client’s information.
- Select from previous or current cycles to open the detail page of the campaign.
- In the upper right of the screen, you will be able to see switch between the last 7, 30, 90 days, year to date, or all time to see how your Ads have performed over different windows.
- In the Social Media Ads tab, you will be able to view Total Impressions (the total number of times a post of Ad is shown to users, regardless of whether it’s click or engaged with), Clicks (total number times a post or Ad is clicked on), CTR (Click Through Rate - the percentage of people who clicked on a link, Ad, or post after seeing it. It’s calculated by dividing the number of clicks by the number of impressions, and Engagements (this breaks total engagements into reactions, comments, and shares, so you can see now just how many people engaged, but how).
- Impressions Over Time - Watch how impressions have built up across your selected window. NOTE - A flattening line usually means a campaign has ended or paused rather than lost reach.
- Under the Social Media Ads tab, you will also see the Account information, including the zip codes the Ad has reached, campaign information, and the current proofs of the running cycle. Primary (Primary Contact) & alternative (Digital Contacts) contact details are located in this section. The History of Ads submission process will also be available in this section.
- Campaign Information will show the signed date, start date, end date and other details that pertain to the social media contract., including upcoming renewal dates.
- Billing information will show if the client is in good standings and payments are up to date.
- In the right hand corner of the screen, you can see if the client has submitted their Onboarding Form for our design team to create their Ad. Here, you can send a reminder to the client. NOTE - This is where you could submit the form on behalf of the client.
- By clicking the “Enlarge” button under each individual Ad, will show how the Ad is performing. Each card shows one of your Ads with its own impressions, CTR, and engagements for the period it ran. Hover over the engagement bar to see the engagements by type.
