How to Enter Market-Ready Content Kits

Market-Ready Content Kits are turnkey, on-theme editorial put out each month, crafted to give every market a polished starting point without losing what makes it local. Each kit offers a flexible range of page options, plus an optional page that can be included in the publication to provide localized content that complements the feature.

1. Navigate to the Issues tab under the editorial section in ARC.
2. You will see the content list on the left-hand side and the number of Available Pages. Select the green “Add” button.
3. Select Use Recipe.
   1. Add the “Title” of the article.
   2. Under “Recipe,” use the drop-down menu and select from the available Market-Ready Content Kit options.
   3. Select a web category.
   4. Select the page count. 
      1. Note that Market-Ready Content Kits are only available from 2-4 pages. 
   5. Click Add.
4. Navigate to the Market-Ready Content article in the content list.
5. Complete the assignment tab:
   1. Title: Update the title of the article if you used a placeholder. 
   2. Select “YES” if the localized page will be associated with a business.
      1. If “YES,” add the business name under the Company line.
      2. Review the business information to ensure the correct advertiser was selected. 
   3. To assign to a writer to complete the localized page, select the name of the contributing writer from the drop-down menu. If there is no need for an assigned writer, leave the Writers drop-down as “Provided.”
   4. To assign to a photographer for the localized page, select the name of the contributing photographer from the drop-down menu. If there is no need for an assigned photographer, leave the Photographers drop-down as “Provided.”
   5. If assigning to either writer or photographer, we recommend changing the due date of the assignment to an earlier date than your editorial deadline date.
   6. Additional Directions:
      1. Note any additional comments for the assigned writer or photographer. This section is not for the internal production team. Any notes for the production team must be put in the content tab. 
6. Click “Send” to assign the article and gain access to the content and web tabs.
7. Once the assignment screen has been completed, navigate to the article's content tab.
   1. Add the Headline of the companion page, 6 words.
   2. Add the Subtitle of the companion page, 15 words.
   3. Add the Body Text of the companion page, 300 words.
   4. To add photos, click the “Choose files” button to upload the photography for the companion page.
      1. For photography size and orientation requirements, refer to the companion page guide for the selected companion page.
      2. Note: Local photography credits can be placed under the photo captions.
   5. Production Notes: Please complete this field to request the following adjustments:
      1. No Localization: If you want to use the content kit without any local content, note it in the production notes.
      2. Alternative Designs: If you prefer a different companion page design, note it in this space. The word count requirements remain the same for all companion page designs; however, you may need to provide more images based on what design you have picked. Please keep that in mind. 
      3. Color preference: All colors of the elements on the companion pages can be adjusted to match the partnered article. If no preference is given, the layout team will adjust the colors to what they view as best.

Note: Custom content and flex pages CANNOT be used in combination with the Market-Ready Content Kit. Any request to alter the layout in a way that would count as custom content will be denied. Any request to use a different layout for the companion pages that is not the dedicated companion page designs will be denied. If no localization content is provided, the last page of the market-ready kit will be filled, and no local content will be able to be submitted once past the editorial deadline date.
